Reliable protection of drinking water
Wherever water is drawn from hydrants, there is a risk that contaminated water will enter the drinking water network through the hydrant, whether through faulty operation, loss of performance of equipment or pressure surges. This applies not only to underground hydrants but also to above-ground models, where varying pressure conditions in particular can cause backflows. Contamination and poisoning lead to complex and costly cleaning processes and subsequently to complex liability issues. STOPR effectively prevents contamination and poisoning caused by water backflow.

The technology
The sophisticated spring-loaded non-return valve closes reliably from a pressure of 0.003 bar, corresponding to the force of a water column of 3 cm. Thanks to its flow-optimised shape, STOPR also shines with optimal flow values. A normal flow rate of 4000 l/min at 3.5 bar (example VONROLL HYTEC) is reduced by STOPR to 3800 l /min, i.e. by less than 5%. Even with STOPR, the VONROLL HYTEC is more efficient than competitor products without backflow prevention. If backflow prevention is available at all in competitor products, they also suffer flow losses of up to 40%.
